Review: Red Bull Sound Select- 30 Days in Chicago

Who would've thought that November would be so exciting?! Thanks to Red Bull Sound Select, I had the opportunity to see some dope up and coming music artists for only $15 a ticket! Over the span of 30 days, they brought artists like Young Thug, Kehlani, Daniel Caeser, Migos, Khalid to name a few! I heard of this event from a friend, who said it took place last year in LA. So, I was extremely geeked they were bringing it to Chicago. I immediately signed up for Red Bull Sound Select and waited for the notification when tickets went on sale (they also send out pre-sale code). Just as you imagine, tickets sell out very fast. I mean, how often can you go see such amazing acts for that cheap?!

I only had a chance to go to 2 concerts, Kehlani and Khalid. They both were amazing, and had openers that were also very talented. The venues were also fun! Aragon Ballroom and Riviera Theatre are such beautiful historic music venues that everyone can appreciate. There were fun Redbull inspired cocktails, fun photo ops, and special keepsakes were given out to the first # of people in the door.

My only complaint was that the concerts didn't start on time, the lines were extremely long (blocks and blocks away from the venue). I didn't understand why the doors opened at 8pm, but at 9pm there was still a long line where we had to wait outside in the cold.  Security check was also a mess, I lost my earbuds during the purse search process. But all in all, the event was a fun experience. Can't wait to see what's in store for next year!
